Daniella “Dani” Trejo Vargas (she/her) is a Mexican-American writer and published poet born, raised and based in the Bay Area. She often explores different genres of music and writing, seeking to expand and develop her craft. Her work can range from meaningful topics to silly little vignettes of the mundane. One thing set in stone for Dani is the purpose to write when she has something to say, someone to reach, or something to defend. '
Dani has recently been featured in the Talisman Literary Magazine. Both her poems "Red Stream" and "Divine Femininity" can be found in Talisman's latest issue, Talisman 51. In November 2023, Dani was also awarded a fellowship with Rooted & Written at the Writer's Grotto of San Francisco where she collaborated with other writers of color in workshops that explored different genres.
